
Dr. Paritala Chandrasekhar is an accomplished academician, researcher, and administrator with over two decades of distinguished experience in engineering education, academic leadership, and institutional development.
He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Bharath University, Chennai, after completing his M.E. in Power Electronics & Drives from Anna University and B.E. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Bangalore University.
Throughout his career, Dr. Chandrasekhar has served in key academic leadership positions, including Principal and Director, at reputed engineering institutions such as Adam's Engineering College, Paloncha, and Abdul Kalam Institute of Technological Sciences, Kothagudem. He has played a significant role in strengthening academic systems, faculty development, outcome-based education, and successfully steering NAAC and NBA accreditation processes.
He is currently serving as Professor of Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Principal at Holy Mary Institute of Technology and Science (Autonomous), Hyderabad, where he is committed to promoting academic excellence, research, innovation, and industry–institute collaboration.
His research interests include Power Electronics, Renewable Energy Systems, FACTS Devices, Power Quality, Smart Grid Technologies, and Sustainable Energy Systems. He has published numerous research papers in reputed national and international journals and conferences held in the USA, China, Malaysia, and India. He has also guided doctoral scholars and has organized several international conferences, Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), workshops, and technical symposiums. He has actively contributed to national initiatives, including the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to engineering education, he received the Best Academician Award (2020). He is a Life Member of ISTE and an active member of IEEE, IETE, MIE, and IAENG. In addition, he serves as a Member of the State-Level Executive Committee of ISTE Telangana Section, contributing to the advancement of technical education and professional development initiatives across the state.
Dr. Chandrasekhar is passionate about mentoring students, empowering faculty, fostering research culture, strengthening industry partnerships, and driving innovation and excellence in higher technical education.
