The Humanities & Sciences (H&S) department is a full fledged department consisting of experienced and well qualified members of faculty in different areas.One faculty member in Chemistry, two members in Physics and two members in Mathematics have Ph.D qualification. Many more are actively pursuing research which would lead to the award of Ph.D degree. All the members are well experienced in teaching and are committed to their profession.
The department came into existence in the year 2001 when the college was started. The present intake is 600 spread across 7 branches of engineering. All the first year engineering students are administered by this department. Laboratories for conducting experiments in Physics, Chemistry and English language are fully equipped to meet the requirements of the syllabi and are replenished as and when necessary. All the rooms for H&S classes are provided in one floor of a well furnished building where classes are conducted in a congenial atmosphere.
The results of I year B.Tech. every year (wherein H&S has a major contribution) are way ahead of the results of most other Engineering Colleges under JNTU.
The department is quite active in conducting Workshops, extension lectures etc. in addition to the regular teaching schedule to create awareness and zeal in the students.
